How to delete your account
Account deletion is done from within the TapOkie mobile app, not from this website. To delete your account:
- Open the TapOkie app on your iPhone or Android device.
- Sign in if you are not already signed in.
- Go to Settings (or Profile → Settings).
- Find the Delete account or Account section.
- Follow the on-screen steps to confirm and delete your account.
If you cannot find the option or need help, contact us at support@tapokie.com and we will assist you.
What happens when you delete your account
When you delete your TapOkie account, we remove all personal data (PII) we hold associated with your account, including:
- Your account and profile information (name, email, phone, date of birth, etc.)
- Your emergency contacts
- Your check-in history
- Location data we have stored for your account
- Device and push notification tokens
Deletion is processed within a reasonable period. We retain only what we are required to keep for legal, security, or dispute resolution purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions
If you have an active TapOkie Premium subscription, cancel it through your device settings or your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account before or after deleting your account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel subscriptions; refunds are subject to the app store's policies.
